The HÖRSTAD Cement Coated Overlay Board (600mm x 600mm x 20mm) is a high-performance routed overlay panel designed for use with 16mm underfloor heating pipe at 60mm centre spacing. Manufactured from high-density XPS, the board provides excellent thermal insulation while remaining lightweight and fully waterproof. Each panel is faced with a reinforced cement coating, creating a durable, stable surface ready for floor finishes.
The panels must be installed onto a flat, level subfloor, whether concrete or timber-based. For concrete substrates, installation is recommended over a combed layer of flexible tiling adhesive. On timber floors, boards should be secured using screws and washers. Tiles and engineered wood flooring can be laid directly over the system, while softer finishes such as carpet or vinyl require an additional 9mm board layer prior to the final floor covering.
