The HÖRSTAD Joisted Floor UFH Heat Spreader Plates are designed to combine modern underfloor heating performance with traditional timber joisted floor constructions. Specifically developed for suspended timber floors, the plates ensure efficient heat transfer and even distribution across the heated floor area.
Prior to installation, a minimum of 100mm mineral wool or fibre insulation should be fitted between the joists. For optimal performance, the insulation must be pushed tightly against the underside of the diffuser plates to maximise upward heat output and system efficiency.
The aluminium diffuser plates are fixed within the joist void and are typically installed along straight pipe runs, which usually account for around 80% of the heated floor area. By securely holding the pipe and spreading heat evenly beneath the floor deck, the HÖRSTAD Joisted Floor UFH Heat Spreader Plates provide an effective solution for timber floor heating projects.
