How To Stop Pipe Popping Off End Loops On Castellated Panels

When installing underfloor heating pipe in castellated panels at 150mm centres, installers sometimes find the pipe popping out of castellated panels.

It’s a small problem but can be super frustrating particularly when you’re trying to keep the pipework in position for screeding.

A simple solution: the HORSTAD CastelKlip

To solve this issue, we developed the HORSTAD CastelKlip. This clip is a small plastic fixing designed specifically to hold the pipe securely in place at the end loops of a castellated panel installation.

It fits directly into the castellations around the end loop, helping prevent the pipe from lifting or moving before screeding.

How to install the CastelKlip

  1. Lay the pipe as normal
Install the underfloor heating pipe into the castellated panels, following the required pipe layout and spacing
  2. Fit the CastelKlip
At the end loops, position the castelklip over the pipe and press it firmly into the top of the castellations to secure the pipe in place.

That’s it. A simple fixing that keeps troublesome end loops where they’re supposed to be and makes the installation easier to manage before screeding.
