At HORSTAD, we’ve always believed that strong communities are built on people looking out for one another. That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with Help for Heroes — a charity that provides lifelong support to veterans and their families across the UK.
Every day, thousands of former service personnel face challenges after leaving the Armed Forces. Whether it’s physical injuries, mental health struggles, financial hardship, or difficulties adjusting to civilian life, the journey after service can often be harder than people realise.
That’s where Help for Heroes steps in.
The charity works tirelessly to provide support that genuinely changes lives. From physical rehabilitation and mental health services to welfare advice, sports recovery programmes, and community support networks, Help for Heroes helps veterans rebuild confidence, regain independence, and reconnect with life beyond service.
For us, this partnership is about more than fundraising. It’s about recognising sacrifice, supporting resilience, and giving something back to the people who have given so much for others.
Throughout the year, the HORSTAD team will be taking part in a range of fundraising activities to support Help for Heroes and raise awareness of the incredible work they do.
One of our biggest challenges yet will see members of the HORSTAD team complete a 530-mile walking challenge in aid of the charity. 530 Miles is the distance from one of our local heroes’ overseas grave to his hometown. Over the course of the challenge, we’ll be tracking our progress, sharing updates, and encouraging our customers, suppliers, and industry partners to get involved and support the cause.
We’ll also be bringing fundraising activity directly to industry events, including the InstallerSHOW 2026, where visitors will be able to get involved on the HORSTAD stand through activities, photo opportunities, and donations. With every photo taken with our mascot on our green carpet HORSTAD will donate £5.
Every contribution — no matter the size — helps Help for Heroes continue providing essential support to veterans and their families when they need it most.
